It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 2017 Rocky Mountain Classic Horse Sale . We have gone to great lengths to make this the best horse sale experience in the area, if not the country.
The event was formerly produced by the Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Association, was known as the Mile High Select Sale and was held in conjunction with The National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado . We owe a “Thank You” to both of those organizations for giving us the opportunity to take over this event.
We believe the change in venue to The Ranch in Loveland, Colorado, has enabled consignors a top notch facility to showcase their animal and has allowed potential buyers a more thorough experience not only through a live preview of the sale horses and a comfortable and separate auction area, but also by having the opportunity to visit one of several sponsor and vendor booths . Visitors are also able to view several top stallions in Stallion Row.
We are proud to be able to provide for auction of 50 top quality horses from around the region and believe that there is a diverse group of top equine available . Also new to the event is the formation of The Dreamer Fund Scholarship in which selected graduating seniors in Colorado will receive scholarships from the proceeds of the auction of a yearling donated by C-Note Partnership.
This year proceeds from Lot #1 INVEST IN MY STYLE will be awarded to a Colorado Youth who is active in either a 4-H Horse Program, RMQHYA, or on a college rodeo team . Each year we will honor as co-founders of the scholarship someone who has made great contributions to the horse industry. The honorees this year are Herman and Vicki Libsack.
We are honored that you have chosen to be a part of this event and Invite you to make it a part of your schedule every year!
Greg and Kyle Hause
Founded by Greg and Kyle Hause, of Gill, Colorado . The Hause pair have been involved with American Quarter Horses a majority of their lives, starting with 4-H and progressing through the ranks to own and operate one of the top performance horse breeding facilities in the state, C-Note Partnership . They all acknowledge importance of youth in keeping a foot positioned strongly in the stirrup of the equine community in order to ride toward their Dream of keeping alive the horse industry and western way of life.
Kyle’s horse experience started with a $250 4-H horse project that she affectionately named “Dreamer .” “What I learned in my journey with her was priceless . It taught me everything I use in my businesses today . I moved through the 4-H program as a member keeping detailed financial and show records, and also held roles in each position of office. These tools have all become very valuable in my life and career today,” she said.
“We all believe that being involved with horses in our youth has taught us valuable lessons and we feel like we want to give back to the industry that has shaped our lives,” Greg added.
Each year the “The Dreamer Scholarship Fund” will award a scholarship to a High School Senior or College Student that has fulfilled the requirements put forth in the application to be used at the college of his or her choice.
The Rocky Mountain Classic Horse Sale, formerly “The Mile High Select Sale” held at the National Western Stock Show Complex in Denver, will be held at The Ranch in Loveland, Colorado, in January. It will be produced by Greg and Kyle and will make its mark as one of the top performance and production horse sales in the state and the Rocky Mountain Region and will provide a venue for the money necessary to fund “The Dreamer Scholarship Fund .” C-Note Partnership has donated a weanling from the 2016 foaling season for auction at the sale with proceeds benefiting “The Dreamer Scholarship Fund.”
Since 2016, the inaugural year for “The Dreamer Scholarship Fund,” individuals that have contributed to the equine industry and/or the previous success of the sale in a unique way have been named Co-Founders of the proceeds.
Herman and Vicki Libsack will be honored as Co-Founders of “The Dreamer Scholarship Fund” for 2017 . Through their work not only in furthering the American Quarter Horse breed, but also helping to produce The Mile High Select Sale in Denver for many years, they have proven a deep dedication to the equine industry by giving freely of their time and financial support. The pair has also been instrumental in the recent sale transition and worked relentlessly to insure its future success.
